| Once again the 3 promoters Dancebox
Entertainment, Brisent & Greek Event promotions came together
to give Sydney one of the biggest events Australia has ever
witnessed. This time around, they set themselves the task to
out do their previous efforts. As Nick Bris from Brisent stated
" As big as the 1st Mega Event was, there was no point
in running for the second year and giving people the same New
years. We needed to excel further and make this one bigger and
better". The Mega Event 2000 was rated the 3rd biggest
party in Sydney after Mobile Home at Bondi and Pride at the
Hordern Pavilion. |

| Six months in the making, the venue
chosen once again was Terminal 6 at Darling Harbour. Peter Gallo
from Dancebox Entertainment stated "There was no way we
were going to deprive people from celebrating NYE on the waters
edge and with views of the fireworks. No one wants to be indoors.
This is the best venue for such an event, why would you want
to be anywhere else? With spectacular views of Sydney's world
famous harbour, indoor and outdoor dance arenas and ample free
onsite car parking, this is the place to be". Large emphasis
was put on the venue and the transformation with the production,
the setout the decor and creating an unbelievable atmosphere.

| Deejays on the night were selected
for their abilities Our Deejays - Krazy Kon, Peter Gallo, Con
Majj, Georgie D, Darcy, Klimax, New York, Greko, Tom Hyper,
Chris Cre8tor & Special Guest Nick Skitz. They are the best
on the scene and are everyone's favourites. Careful consideration
was also given to the entertainment for the night. Along with
the famous Sydney Harbour fireworks spectacular, entertainment
was also required at the event. There was a huge array of fire
eaters, stilt walkers, magicians and jugglers and performers
from the opening and closing ceremonies of the Sydney Olympic
games. |

| "This is the best New Years
Eve that we have ever been to" said a group of people from
Melbourne who were in Sydney specifically for New Years Eve.
Con Majj quoted "There were people everywhere. From Sydney
, Canberra, Melbourne and Adelaide, they all came to experience
the MEGA EVENT vibe. It was good to see so many smiling faces
having a ball and the time of their lives. This is what celebrating
New Years Eve is about. |

| The Mega Event 2001 definitely exceeded
everyone's expectations and was even bigger and more enjoyable
than the previous year. It was read about in papers across Sydney
and seen on TV overseas. |

| A big thank you must go out
to the people, from all walks of life, all ages and from all
areas who, without them, the Mega Event would not have been
possible. A huge thank you must go to the behind the scenes
people such as the production crews, the bar staff, the door
staff, security personnel, deejays, ticket outlets, marketing
crews, distributors and everyone else who helped make the
MEGA EVENT possible. |
